Everyday when i read newspapers, the first thing that i saw on the front page would be a covered story of an accident happening in Singapore! it’s such a scary thing to know that everyday there are a couple of innocent victims died as a result of some irresponsible’s actions done by others.

Yesterday newpaper was featuring one genting bus got into an accident resulting in a few people died. It was all the driver’s fault because he was driving too fast and trying to overtake a car in front of him. Such actions had put so many people’s life into danger. I’m starting to worry and getting concerned about going to genting for a weekend get-away! Recently there was an incident where one boy was died after being kicked at the neck during one of the taekwondo tournament. It was such a rare case and it happened to a young and promising young man. I believed that the parents must have a hard time accepting this fact.

Life is so fragile that each minute is so precious and anything can just happen to us in just a spilt second. One more example of myself was that when i was learning my driving few days back, i was at a zebra crossing. As the traffic was kind of slow (Ubi area) so i was relaxing awhile. Before that i did not see any one going to cross the road so when it was empty in front, i immediately moved my car and for a spilt second i almost knocked someone down if not for my instructor beside me pressing the brake! That incident had woke me up to realise why we can’t drive after drinking because we really need to pay attention to the road traffic.

Therefore these days when i was doing a porfolio review for my clients, i always emphasized alot on accidental coverage. Minimum coverage that i will recommend will be $50,000 as some of them are not willing to fork out anything more. But for most cases, the average coverage is around $100,000-$200,000. Nevertheless, one should take due care on their daily activities to ensure that they themselves don’t cause any accidents happening to others. We should always keep a lookout.
