Courtesy inside MRT
Recently i noticed that the habit of not giving up seats for the elderly is coming back. Previously the courtesy campaign of giving up seats for the needy was quite successful in the sense that i saw many people giving up their seats more frequently and some times people does not even dare to sit on the position where it puts ‘priority seat’
But recently, many young people just don’t know the word ‘ashamed’. They can simply just continue to be sleeping or pretending to listen to mp3 or play games. I mean what is so difficult to give up seats for the elderly. Can’t they imagine that if they are old in the future, similar things will also happen to them. This is what i called retribution/karma/bao yin.
I think we should really shame the people who doesn’t give up seat for old people. I feel that this is the best way to teach people a lesson about being courtesy.
Anyway for those who are reading this, please make sure you don’t commit the mistakes of not giving up seats for elderly. Remember that if you are tired, then they are 10 times more tired than you just because they are at least 40 years older than you =)
