Do you realise?
I was listening to a song by Colbie Caillat called ‘Realise’ when i decided to blog on this topic ‘Do you realise’
I have been always talking to people about their own happiness index. I mean how happy are they with their life. Often than not, i received comments such as ‘my life sucks big time’, ‘Spore pace is too fast’, ‘Money not enough to spend’ etc. I wonder does any of these sounds familiar to you as you are reading this blog?
I am starting to wonder how many people do take time off each day to realise the happy things in our life? Do we always get so caught up in our busy life that we keep complaining about all bad things happening and failed to appreciate the good things that happened?
Do you realise that we are staying in one of the safest country?
Do you realise we have the first class transport system that by having a car is sometime a waste of money?
Do you realise how fortunate we are compared to people in the third world country who are currently still struggling to fight for survival?
Do you even realise that the fact that you are reading this means that you are so much fortunate compared to people who does not own a computer or even have access to it.
I come to reckon that in life, we REALLY have to slow down our pace once awhile to realise and appreciate the good things we have around us. Otherwise we will become very unhappy. If only we can slow down and appreciate the good things in life, i am very sure that we will all become happier after some time.
If i can share how i slow down my pace then it will be by listening to jazz and instrumental music every morning or night time before i sleep. I also spend 5 minute each day to sit down to do mediatation. These methods works quite well for me due to my hectic schedule.
Should anyone have any other methods to share, do leave a comment here =)
